Its been awhile since I have done a post. Work has been busy,but also with planning towards additional adventures and big things. I have a life changing trip this winter planned. After doing the Allagash Trip, Ive been spending a lot of time kayaking.
Recently I decided to try to catch the sunrise in the middle of Debsconeag dead water. This required be getting up early, driving down the golden road with a famous dirt logging road, then going down another rough logging road. So far I have been able to get onto the water around 445.
Kayaking in near pitch black certainly has been a new experience. There is a sense of fear/ Eeriness , but also a sense of hyper-viligance and a hypersensitivity to every sound. I’ll be sharing pictures of 2 trips that led to some very good images. Just to give you an idea of the temp, it was a warm 39-45F Degrees in the morning. I will keep doing this until it starts to snow or I am unable to bear the cold in the kayak.
