After watching forecasts and having a ready bag packed. I was finally able to witness the northern lights. What was also exciting was that this was my first time shooting at night. It couldn’t be more fitting than to be off the northern lights.

I had been watching forecasts. One night when I had seen that the forecast was going to be good I dropped everything that I was doing and headed to my go to spot.
When I had gotten to my spot I had realized that I didn’t have my primary tripod and that I had to use my hiking tripod. So here I am on a bridge taking long exposures with the tripod balanced on the side of the bridge. It was certainly an experience. I certainly hope to hone my night skills and get back out there for some more northern lights.
